no-personalityOkay folks….I am about to present the BEST personality test I’ve ever taken. One of my professor had our whole class take it before dividing us into groups and it was creepy accurate. Here are the instructions:

1. Go to http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp

2. Answer the 72 yes/no questions.

3. Click “score it”

4You will be given a four letter code such as “ENBJ.” From that page, click on “type description by D. Keirsey

5. Read the description, but I also recommend clickin on the tab (artisan, idealist, etc of the category you fall into because it’s also really interesting

6. Have fun comparing family and friends! :)

Planning an LDS Wedding? May 4, 2009

lds-weddingWeddings!!!…Winter semester is wrappin’ up and therefore wedding announcements are arriving in my mailbox by the dozens! I think every friend I have ever had is gettin’ hitched this summer….but then again I am in Utah….so I felt it only right that I put a blog post dedicated to the subject. Sure, every Mormon gal has heard of the Beautifully Modest website  with modest wedding and prom dresses and Eternity Gowns, but I’m absolutely in love with this new website I discovered called Bridal Expressions. It shows gorgeous gowns that are modest but not those cookie-cutter look alike gowns that you see at EVERY LDS wedding reception known to man. I tried posting some pictures on here, but for some reason it is not working at all. Seriously though, ya got to have a peek at that website (and no, I am not receiving any kind of payment for saying that…it’s just sweet sincerity, my friend). Oh, and you are seriously planning a wedding…or just a bored dreamer of that special day….I recommend checking out a website called The Knot. The Knot seriously has soooooo much to check out. I mainly just like lookin’ at stuff from wedding cake picks to floral schemes. Enjoy! :)

How to Make an Apartment Smell Spectacular May 2, 2009

cinnamon

Last semester, one of my roommates made the most out-of-this-world scones. We were all in heaven until the fried smell of fatty oil was still hanging around our small apartment the next day. Candles and cleaners didn’t seem to do the trick, so I sprinkled a generous amount (several tablespoons) of ground cinnamon (yeah just that “normal kind” you buy and put with sugar on toast or in your oatmeal) on a cookie sheet. Then, I put the cookie sheet in the oven at 325 degrees Fahrenheit until I couldn’t smell the cinnamon anymore (about 15 to 20 minutes). I did this a couple times and my apartment was back to normal….though I was cravin’  homemade cinnamon rolls….

I recommend doing this whenever you have a bad smell in your apartment or right before you have friends over. It’s super easy and cheap and smells soooooo good. I think guys should be required to do this regularly. I mean, their spaces always smell kind of raunchy and it’s not like this is a flowery weird smell or anything. Just a shout out suggestion ;)
